Use your reindeer pelts on the terrace or cool places in the house. The hairs on the pelts are hollow, therefore reindeer pelts do not tolerate excessive temperatures, as the hairs may then loosen.
Avoid putting the pelts on heated floors or in front of the fireplace.
You can extend the life of your reindeer pelts, by putting it outside, every now and then, when it is really cold (not wet).
If there is snow, you can advantageously lay the fur down against the snow for an hour or so.
